IV Drip Therapy was popularized by Dr. John Myers in the 1980s when he introduced his “cocktails” for treating patients. FIKA’s medical team has designed a group of remedies to help treat a number of ailments. Our Registered Nurses are trained to listen to you, assess your needs, and help you select the treatment that will offer the greatest benefits. Whether you are an endurance athlete, busy parent, school teacher, traveling on an airplane, have difficulty absorbing vitamins, or just want to add vitamin therapy to your routine; we have a treatment for you.

Each IV is administered by one of our registered nurses by inserting a small flexible catheter into the vein. A bag of saline or lactated ringers (both solutions that match the viscosity of blood) is then hung and uses gravity to drain the contents. This process takes anywhere from 25-45 minutes depending on the selection by the customer.

IV Therapy is designed to infuse micronutrients and medications directly into the bloodstream for 100% absorption. Receiving 1000ml of saline solution is equivalent to drinking 1.5-2 gallons of water. FDA approved additives are introduced into the IV line and flow directly into the bloodstream for immediate absorption.

Sure! We love vitamins! However, you won’t see the same results. There is a big difference between oral absorption rates (bioavailability) for the body and IV therapy absorption rates. Oral supplements hover around 25-30% in their bioavailability- with some as low as 10%. All IV micronutrients and medications used at FIKA will be absorbed 100% in the body. In addition, all of our treatments are FDA approved. That’s not the norm with standard daily vitamins.
